Ken first started building his first houseboat in about 2007 and decided to abandon it in 2015. It was to be the
alternative to owning a cottage which was prohibitively expensive at the time. As it turns out the cottage became
affordable in 2015 which signalled the end of the houseboat dream. Actually, the dream lives on in the form of a
renovation of a pontoon boat that was bought at the same time as the cottage.
Purchasing the cottage opened the way for other projects. The first was deck construction which was completed,
more or less, in 2016. A sunroom was more or less completed in 2017. In 2018 an existing shed was relocated on the
site and was renovated to become a hobby house. Further down the road is a gazebo which will be the pièce de
résistance.
